6 Ways to Discover the Beauty of a Spiritual Growth Reset

A new month means new opportunities to pursue spiritual growth and the beauty of becoming more like Jesus Christ. If we’re not careful, we can find ourselves month after month after month going through the motions on repeat drifting away from God.
Drifting is subtle, it feels comfortable. We often don't realize we are in danger of drifting until we find ourselves miles away from where God intended us to be.
In the article, 4 Things Spiritual Growth is NOT by Michael Kelley, he writes: Spiritual growth is not passive. That’s because no one drifts toward Jesus. If left to our own devices, and without exercising some intentionality, we will always, always, always drift from Jesus—not toward Him.
Many Christians assume that as long as they attend church, listen to sermons or podcasts, have knowledge of Bible verses, growth is automatic.
Here’s the thing—all growth is not the spiritual growth that God desires. Jesus gives a warning in Matthew 13:15 that says, “people’s heart has grown dull”.
What is a dull heart? Dull-heartedness often results from spiritual complacency, comfortable Christianity, and not seeking or wanting to hear truth. Because God is Truth, his voice confronts our comfort, habits, and sin.
The Bible warns, Today if ye would hear his voice do not harden your hearts (Hebrews 3:15).
