Our journey with Jesus is an invitation to desire Him more than anyone or anything.  

But there is a tempting invitation that is lured and enticed by our own desire that the book of James informs us what will happen if we RSVP.

James 1:14–15 says, "But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death".

An eye-opener takeaway from Part I—The Beauty to Desire Jesus Workshop was that God can give us over to what we desire more than Him.

Whether it is Eve, Samson, the Prodigal Son, or many others in the Bible, we’ve been privy to know what could happen when we are lured and enticed by our own desire.

It is the work of the Holy Spirit that helps us to honor our own desire(s) in a way that honors God.  God knows that at the root of our own desire is ultimately our desire and need for Jesus.

But we still have a part to play in not accepting the invitation—it begins with the beauty to desire Jesus—to know him more intimately and love him more fully.
