HELPING WOMEN REDEFINE BEAUTIFUL BY PURSUING JESUS TO BECOME LIKE HIM.
Who you are becoming matters to God.
And it matters to this ministry.
Because being a follower of Jesus is not just about learning more about Jesus. It is about becoming like Jesus.
Our lives are gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful
as God enters our lives and we become like him.
2 Corinthians 3:18
Becoming More Beautiful is an invitation for women of all ages to adorn the gospel so beautifully that others see Jesus in our lives and are drawn to know and follow Him.
In my own search for true beauty, the world’s definition for beauty exposed what my heart desired—to be loved. Looking for love in the romantic relationships that I pursued left me brokenhearted. Longing for love and the pressure from culture for marriage often had me rushing ahead of God prematurely in relationships.
But the love and relentless pursuit of Jesus chased after me until I surrendered the counterfeit love I had settled for and returned to him as my first love.
As Founder of Becoming More Beautiful, I have served in ministry for over 45 years—teaching bible studies and discipleship programs for youth, young adults, adults, and singles.
God has blessed me with many amazing opportunities including serving as a life coach to the WNBA Washington Mystics and writing and producing—Bride Ready—a play that had men, women, boys and girls at the altar with a desire to live worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to be ready for His return.
I am a widow and have an amazing and wonderful family. My granddaughter is beyond precious and brings me so much happiness. One of my favorite verses and questions in the Bible is found in Matthew 16:13.
“Sister Milton truly loves the Lord and sincerely desires for the people of God to know the Lord and walk in His Ways. That desire, along with the spirit of integrity, is advantageous for true ministry."
- Pastor Garfield Burton, Macedonia Baptist Church
“Debbie was a driving force in teaching our WNBA coaches and players valuable lessons on God’s Word. Through her teaching and spirit, she was able to help us grow in our faith and helped us face life challenges with hope.”
- Trudi Lacey, Executive Coach, Author & Former Basketball Head Coach of WNBA Washington Mystics
"As a co-worker and friend, I’ve had a front row seat to Debbie as mom, daughter and leader. Her unique story enables her to inspire and encourage women and men of all ages and phases of life."
- Dr. Johnny Parker, Executive Coach, Counselor, Reverend, John Hopkins Professor, Author
"During Debbie’s service, our Singles Ministry grew tremendously. It was diverse in age, sex, and spiritual walk which were a first in the history of our ministry. Christian singles would come from other churches to experience Debbie’s phenomenal bible studies and workshops."
- Shelli
